Document solutions on the go that enable bankers to serve their clients better.

Objective

This project was to enable bankers to make connections between external contacts to better serve existing clients and to forge relationships with new ones by sharing connections.

Idea

Re-think the document management experience from the ground up and provide a seamless experience for bankers connecting digitally on the go.

High-level goals

Key Project Enhancements

  • Streamline the document management experience for the bankers.
  • Ensure the design is on-brand and consistent for all journeys.
  • Simplify the document-sharing experience.
Approach

Discovery

The first phase was to understand the business requirements by examining the functional requirements provided by the client followed by reviewing the existing management system in use.

This provided me with the background knowledge that I was looking for before I carried out the design work and to make sure that I understood the existing user experience of the product.

Initial Design

Based on the requirements and after reviewing their existing system, I began the design of the journey flow and reviewed this with the team and the client accordingly.

Once an agreement had been reached, my next task was to explore the mobile app experience by designing the wireframes of all the key screens based on the journey flow again this was an iterative process that was repeated and worked with the client until we reached the signed-off stage.

Design Execution

The next stage was to convert the wireframes into a visual design by applying the company branding, colour, and font style and defining the UI components for the mobile app.

Conclusion

The product reached the final stage of the release process when I left the project. If the product had been released as planned, I would expect the result to be a success. The new mobile solution would empower bankers to receive and add information on the go about their clients in real-time.

It would also enable bankers to keep up-to-date with the latest information about their clients via meeting notes and planning for their upcoming meetings. All of this would contribute greatly towards a better user experience for the bankers while enabling them to better serve their clients anywhere they go.
